Enjoy a truly relaxing break in our fantastic alpine chalet. The Aravis Lodge is a large, turn of the 20th century, chalet style accommodation providing you with great food and a high level of service in spacious and cosy surroundings.

Come either on your own, with friends or as part of a large group and enjoy a personal service that brings people back year after year. Highlights include:

Well stocked in-house bar with wines, spirits, Guiness and Kronenbourg on tap. Games including jenga, table football and mini ping pong to entertain you into the small hours
Lounge and separate TV room with big comfy sofas and bean bags to settle into for the night, Sky television including movies and all the sports channels, DVDs and videos and a selection of board games, books and magazines
Play room for both adults and kids with toys and an N64 and Xbox games console
Fully equipped in-house bike room with a range of bikes for hire, maintenance tools and storage for your own bikes too
Fully equipped gym and fitness room with CV and weights machines - incase you haven't had enough exercise already!

Outside, the lodge has a garden and a large, sunny, south facing terrace

The lodge is located in the heart of the well-equipped small village of St Jean de Sixt , very close to the mountain resorts of La Clusaz and Grand Bornand, and only half an hour from the medieval town of Annecy.

What's so special about staying in chalet accommodation?

Once you've stayed chalet style - either on a ski holiday or in the summer for cycling or walking tours - you'll never look back - it's definitely the only way to go!

It could be the plentiful supply of great food and wine, the top facilities or the stunning alpine chalet buildings and locations - but we think it's more to do with the people and the atmosphere that they create. The ambience and buzz from a full chalet is special and complements the whole mountain experience.

We have many people staying with us who come individually - but they rarely spend time on their own once they arrive! The atmosphere is about people making friends, enjoying the day's biking on the mountain and great company in the evenings. See the photos page to see pictures of some of the people who've enjoyed mountain biking and road cycling with us.

We will ensure your water bottles are filled and you have a spare waterproof just in case the weather changes before you head out onto the mountain tracks and trails. Our team can tell you the best buvettes or restaurants for lunch or we can provide you with a packed lunch to eat on your way.

Afternoon tea with fresh home-baked cakes will be waiting on your return. A tasty and generous 3-course dinner with wine is the main social event of the evening, with all guests eating together and discussing the day's events. After desert and coffee you can retire to the lounge or bar where you'll be able to drink and chat until the small hours. We also have DVDs, Sky tv, videos, an N64 and X box and numerous board games for those wishing to chill out after their day in the mountains. For guests with more stamina there are various bars to visit in La Clusaz too.

The Lodge is completely non-smoking throughout and always has been..

For the veggies amongst you - we have now been approved by the Vegetarian Society for over two years - one of very few chalets in France to receive the accreditation.
