“Just back from a fantastic 4 day cycling weekend with bikeweekender.com, which meant we could cram in 3.5 days cycling into the long weekend, taking just 2 days off work. The location was superb with easy access to lots of classic Tour de France Cols and the team were great helping us plan routes to fit our ability.”

“What we really liked about Bike Weekender was the way they made sure you had a great trip, with nothing to think about except the cycling. From picking us up at the airport in the minibus, to providing amazing breakfasts/dinners, everything was just easy (except the cycling!) Thanks again and hopefully see you again to climb some old favourites and explore some new ones.”

Lake Annecy & the Aravis – the perfect base for cycling short breaks

Bike Weekender’s home base is in the beautiful Aravis region of the French Alps, only an hour away from Geneva airport.

Annecy and the Aravis are steeped in cycling culture and history, and regularly play host to the Tour de France and the Criterium du Dauphiné. You’ll ride through unspoiled farming villages, lush green meadows and experience the charm of traditional Alpine life as you ride the Cols de Colombière, Aravis, Croix Fry, Forclaz and Arpettaz, to name but a few!

On top of this, Annecy, with its’ medieval old town and crystal-clear lake, provide an unforgettable setting for cycling – or perhaps swimming and relaxing off the bike.

Southern Alps, Provence & Côte d’Azur – the best of cycling in France

The majestic Southern French Alps are a cyclist’s dream, with the legendary climbs to Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier and Col d’Izoard just a few of the famous names from the Tour de France that we can help you conquer.

Provence and the Ventoux region offer riding with spectacular contrasts, from rolling vineyards and lavender fields, to the gruelling ascent of majestic Mont Ventoux, one of the most famous cycle climbs in the world.

The Côte d’Azur combines glittering sea, palm trees and beach-side glamour with quiet roads through the hills and green forests of the Massif des Maures a little way inland.

Wherever you choose to ride, you can rest assured that we will make it a cycling holiday for you to remember!

Summer 2017 Tour de France, Cyclosportives & Special Road Cycling Events

This year’s Tour de France is skirting the Northern Alps before heading off in to the high mountains further south.

If you would like to experience the atmosphere of the world’s premiere cycle race first hand, why not join us to watch stage 9’s race finish and spend the weekend riding up cols made legendary by this most famous of races.

Come and enjoy a great weekend of cycling in the French Alps, and take part in La Grand Bo, a cyclosportive event in the French style…

Our local Sportive takes place at the end of June and is a great warm up for the better known Marmotte or Etape du Tour events. A tough challenge in its own right, with three different routes, the GrandBo Sportive is a great way to experience the French passion for cycling alongside the locals.
